Ladies and gentlemen, allow us to introduce:SYND. Gothenburg's most uncompromising underground band. With a sound that moves between synth-punk, experimental electronic dance music, dub, and glamorous ballads, the band creates a sonic landscape where desperation meets euphoria.
With an instrumentation consisting of analog synthesizers, drum machines, xylophone, iPad, congas, misused contact microphones, and saxophone drenched in delay, SYND creates a soundtrack for the alienated person.
Live, the band is as much a state as a concert. Equally parts bird song and engine noise. Dark, blinding, and unpredictable.
This is music for those who want to dance with doubt, for those who want to get lost on purpose.
MAG
MAG has enthralled audiences across Europe with her powerful voice and unique expression, where trombone, punk, and pop meet in a chaotic yet self-evident universe. She is a well-known name in Gothenburg's underground music scene and takes the stage alone, but fills the room with her own musical landscape.
Here, demonic megaphone screams intertwine with seductive trombone melodies, drum machines, crackling synthesizers, and raw guitar sounds.
MAG's music is both deeply personal and political. She effortlessly moves between the intimate and the grandiose, while the rhythms drive the audience forward.
Her second album, En fis i rymden (A Fish in Space), was released in 2022 by the Gothenburg-based indie label Surplus Recordings. For the first time, all the lyrics are in Swedish.
In addition to her solo project, Magdalena Ågren also plays in the bands SORK, Trapped in a Loop, and BADA.

Accessibility
Kulturhuset Oceanen, a Q-rated, culturally historical building, poses a challenge when it comes to accessibility. We do our best to ensure that as many people as possible can visit us. If you visit with a mobility aid, the entrance via the stage entrance is best suited. This can be reached via Gathenhielmska trädgården. The entrance is locked, so please let us know a day in advance of your visit and by no later than Friday 16:00 if you plan to visit us over the weekend. A wheelchair-accessible toilet is available in the stage area. Personal assistants do not need to buy their own ticket, but please contact us in advance so we can generate a ticket for the person. Refund Policy
We do not refund purchased tickets. This applies to all our arrangements except for Barnens Ocean. If you need to cancel tickets for Barnens Ocean, please email info@oceanen.com
If we cancel an event, all tickets, excluding service fees, will be automatically refunded to the account you purchased the tickets with.
