To celebrate twenty years of pioneering documentary filmmaking, Doc Lounge kicks off its jubilee season with an exclusive Sweden Premiere. We are thrilled to present 'The Beauty of Errors,' a film already acclaimed worldwide. To make the evening even more special, we welcome back Doc Lounge favourite Jukka Kärkkäinen for his third visit, this time with his latest tragicomic gem. Following the screening, he will join us for a conversation about the film, promising to touch on deep human themes.

Join us in a serene Finnish village where we meet Tero, a single father who has dedicated his life to his son Henri. Their bond is unbreakable, but when Henri grows up, finds love, and strives to form his own life, Tero is forced to confront a painful insight: it is he who has developed a deep dependence on his son. As the family dynamics shift when the older generation starts to demand care, new demands are placed on the relationships.
The Beauty of Errors is a moving and warmly humorous documentary that tenderly portrays the complex family bonds across three generations. The film explores themes such as loneliness, parenthood, and the ever-changing nature of love, all presented with a deeply human perspective that will stay with you long after the credits roll.
