A formulated opinion gone wrong. It can be all it takes to lose your friends, job, and place in society. It can happen quickly. A Shrouded Heart is a story about shame, guilt, and punishment, and the devastating consequences of what we call cancel culture. Is it right to lose everything for a stated opinion, a vague and dirty past, something you've done that's been condemned or a crime you're accused of? Can you explain yourself, ask for forgiveness, or be heard when memories are fragmented and the truth about what happened is disputed? And who is it that judges, when the case becomes public and the accused is publicly exposed with name and image? Is there satisfaction in revenge, in being on the right side and one of the many who condemn the accused when the justice system doesn't produce adequate results? On stage, an actor, a dancer, and a movement-based actor dive into and question cancel culture.
