The Cold Aligators were formed at the request of the Norwegian club Darkness Descends to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Roky Erickson's cult album "THE EVIL ONE". As agreed, a supergroup was gathered consisting of musicians from various bands, including Obnoxious Youth, Dictator Ship, Snuffed by the Yakuza, Reveal, and Plot of Knives, to perform "THE EVIL ONE" in its entirety. The performance in Oslo took place in February 2026 and was a huge success, leaving little doubt about a home concert.
With the utmost respect for the source material, The Cold Aligators aim to reproduce Roky Erickson's incredible songs in the best possible way. If you're a Roky Erickson fan, you won't get a better chance to experience his unique songs.
